Hi guys, so today's post is all about fashion, boho fashion!! I was feeling super boho the other day so I decided to put together some basic outfits using the same accessories, to keep it easy but stylish. there's two ways you can boho, outfit vibes or accessory vibes. today i'm gonna talk all about the boho accessories or add ons, as i like to call them. i'll share some of my fav tips to making your outfit super rad and becoming a pro bohemian girl!

XoXo,

Lex

Tip #1- Wear rings. lots of rings.

OK you may be thinking 'thanks for the beyond basic tip Lexi' , but trust me, people don't realize how much rings elevate an outfit. I wear rings with almost everything and usually have about 6 rings on my hands at all times. I have my staples and based on the occasion interchange a few. I don't feel complete without them and I feel like they give an automatic cool, Boho vibe to your outfit. And yes, you should mix silver and gold, all the metals too. Basically rings are just cool, wear them.

Tip #2- Bracelets and hoop earrings.

Again bracelets are like rings, meaning the more the merrier! Layer some colorful bracelets, wristbands, cuffs, temporary tats, no rules here.  Think of your arm as a blank canvas!  I find myself pairing multi-jeweled bracelets with chunky leather bands and a metal cuff to bring it all together. I also have some wristbands from summer concerts that I refuse to take off...guess they add to the charm, lol :)

Hoop earrings, large, small and everything in-between. If you're thinking that there's no way you can pull them off, you can! I feel like hoop earrings have stood the test of style time, so don't be afraid to wear them.  Have fun with the metals, bright colors, crochet hoops, layered jewels or chains and complete your Boho look.

Tip #3- Other accessories.

Don't forget your head! For the look in this post, I took a Free People scarf and wrapped it around my head like a headband. I instantly felt cooler, and my vibe changed. I actually chose the headband/scarf first and it dictated my entire mood and look for the day. Flower crowns and wide brimmed hats are my go-to, and typically bring the whole look together.

I also think belts are fantastic. I have a copycat of the Bri-Bri belt, thanks Pacsun, and I wear it all the time. That belt is super versatile and encompasses a lot of different styles. For today's look I opted for a brown, leather, studded belt from TJ Maxx. I think it added a subtle touch to complete the outfit.

Tip #4- My favorite tip...often overlooked. Purses.

I'm so excited about this tip because I have officially fallen back in love with my brown, leather purse. Let me rewind a bit - I bought an overpriced, but beautiful must have leather bag in Laguna Beach. I use it all the time but recently I've been wanting to elevate it.  Enter my mom, treasure hunter, and the look for less extraordinaire! She was at Target and found an adorable crocheted camera strap, yep. Cue overpriced, brown, leather purse and VOILA! diy Free People look!  I switched out the existing strap for the camera strap. The purse has new life. It looks so Boho, vintage, and I always get compliments on it. It was so easy and unique. Can't wait to add to my camera strap collection (guitar straps anyone?) and continue interchanging my bags. Next stop, my local thrift store!

Favorite sunglasses ever- 99 cent store in LA.

Outfit 2+3

For outfit 2+3 I just interchanged my shirts with my fav, homemade, jean shorts (maybe i'll do a diy jean short post), Showing you how easy it is to make new outfits using the same accessories.

For the 1st outfit swap I used my Free People top, from the matching outfit above, with my jean shorts. For the 2nd outfit I changed into a super basic Brandy Melville tank.
